Default Norn Bear, Raven, Wolf Skills Visuals - Where are they?

I noticed that when you transform in the the spirit of the Norn Bear and Raven (I haven't got the wolf yet)... that you do not have any visual transformation effects. I think that your character should at least get a pseudo ghost of the animal either replacing your character model or larger than your model.

It doesn't look right to be in Norn bear mode... and swishing and clawing as a little elementalist...

Didn't the preview have character changing effects when the skill was active?

It really would be easy to add... the Norn models are already there... just make a ghostly one and have the character change shape when it is activated (similar to how Dervishes work with the Avatar skills)...

Norn animal skill transformations please please!

I think we should get animation.

Norn seem like human + (other race maybe ogre, etc) evolved and the animal spirits "embraced" them. Notice how when Jora and Brother broke laws one was cursed, the other lost ability to transform.

Just something like a Celestial dragon or what not... a shimmer gold ghost effect would work... I don't think we should be a full fledged bear like the Norn... but a ghost of the shape would be better...

My little elemental was casting fire... then went to Bear Essence Aura... and was roaring and clawing left and right...

Looks rather silly ... a skinny elemental in green pretending to be a Norn Bear...

Maybe Anet will add this in.... Plus it would help other players know when other players are in Norn animal forms...

I am a Fire Elementalist... hear me roar!

Reading PCgamer it looks they originally intended to let us change forms since the mag keeps calling it a "form" instead of a "blessing" or "spirit". I assume they found they could not do it and changed it to a blessing instead.

It been the same process as Dervish avatars..
I highly suspect it was not enough time / resource issue more then anything.

I could see this being added in the future, or at least GW2 will have it.

Changing forms was my hope too, and a big disappointment to spend so much effort on Jora only to find she still can't become a bear. I assume the AI couldn't handle a sudden switch to a new skillbar, but that is my assumption.

I don't mind so much anymore that the aspects don't change form - my initial disappointment is now just a low seething.

You were meant to change form, but I think Anet didn't have enough time to finish them, you can tell by how when you click the skill to return back to normal skills it has the same animation like how a Derv goes from avatar to player.

The problem I think is that when Norns do it, their armor also changes to fit the form. Players however have a huge number of possible armor combos, so unless you want to be a naked bear, wolf, etc, in which case people would complain that the Norns get to wear armor, why can't we, then it's a rather large amount of work for no real benefit in the game.

Doubt it, because they did it with the Dervish forms.

I'd assume they got lazy, considering that the animation for the bear form already exists (see Norn guards).

Well if they donĀ“t listen to the players and do whatever they want with GW then starting GW2 is a waste of time imo.

It does look kinda useless and lame not to change into the animals, loses the feel of the skill so i never use it.

What those skills should do is turn us into a "ghostly" version of that animal. The models already exist, after all (as bears, wolves, and ravens are all charmable animals)...
